1. The marketplace
DesiMart is a platform that connects independent sellers with buyers for physical goods and local services. We're not the seller of record for items or services listed by third-party sellers — each seller is responsible for the accuracy of their own listings, fulfilling their own orders, and complying with applicable law.
2. Accounts
You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating an account or applying to sell.
3. Selling on DesiMart
Seller applications are reviewed before approval, and we may suspend or remove a seller's account for policy violations, including excessive order cancellations. Sellers must connect a Stripe account to receive payouts and set accurate pricing, including any shipping cost, for their own listings. DesiMart charges a commission on each sale, deducted from the seller's payout — this does not change the price a buyer pays.
4. Buying on DesiMart
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. If a seller cancels your order before fulfilling it, you'll receive an automatic full refund. See our Shipping & Returns page for details on shipping, cancellations, and returns.
5. Prohibited conduct
You may not use DesiMart to list illegal goods or services, misrepresent a listing, harass other users, or attempt to circumvent platform fees by taking a transaction off-platform after connecting through DesiMart.
6. Limitation of liability
DesiMart provides the platform “as is.” We're not liable for disputes between buyers and sellers, the quality of goods or services listed by sellers, or indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the site, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
7. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of DesiMart after a change means you accept the updated terms.
